Try some feng shui.

Let's talk about feng shui. What's that? Is it something you eat? How the heck do you say it? These were some of the things running though my mind the first time I came across those words. Feng shui (pronounced fung shway) is an ancient chinese practice still in use to this day. The practice is based on creating a positive energy flow throughout a home or type of building structure (like one with apartments). The idea is that everything gives off chi, or energy, be it positive or negative. Different things can affect chi, for example: you and your spouse or children having an arguement, or just the opposite - you and your spouse or children sitting down at the dinner table eating, talking to each other, laughing, having a good time, and even the area just outside your home. There's a connection between your emotions and the energy in the room. It's just that many don't realize it. Practicing good feng shui can do wonders for things like your health, your finances, your love life, your career, just to name a few. Of course I can't go into exact and precise details due to copyright laws and I'm not trying to write a book. However here are a few tips to get you started that are simple and cost very little.
  • Clean up your house! I cannot stress this enough. Clutter that just sits around is good for harboring stagnant energy. Stagnant energy and positive energy are definitely not the same thing. You might think you're doing a good thing by saving all those papers but if they're not organized and your desk is so messy you can't see it, then you're not doing yourself any favors by saving them. Clean your desk off, mop your kitchen floor, vacuum, pick up your living room, anything to get rid of items you don't need and for the items you do need, put it where it goes. This is much easier than it sounds and all it will cost you is time.
  • Here's a neat little trick I do once a week. Buy some sea salt (very easy and cheap to obtain) and scatter it across your carpet. Leave it sit overnight and the next day just vacuum it up. What this sea salt does is soak up old energy. Logical thinking tell you that once the old energy is gone, you can create positive energy to put in its place. This is especially useful if you have been feeling stressed out or depressed lately.
  • Put some fresh flowers in a vase and display it where you will be able to see often. Plants radiate natural energy, plants that are properly tended to that is. Make sure to change the water in the vase every day. Once again this helps to create that positive energy flow. And of course nothing makes a woman happier than to sit down at her kitchen table with pretty flowers staring back at her quietly whispering to be happy.
I hope this helps all you readers out there. Here's to all the happiness you desire!

About Me

Let me tell you a little bit about myself. First off I'm a stay at home mother of 3 while my husband works. I've been studying astrology for 14 years and the tarot for 13 years. I've always had an interest these two areas, however I've recently expanded my studies to further pursue the spiritual side of life. I am an avid reader of many subjects and my own collection of books include things like feng shui, several Sylvia Browne books, aromatherapy, numerology, my many, many books on astrology and tarot, books on reincarnation and such, and my most recent "The Secret". My goal now is to help those who need it in those areas, guide them to a better way of life. So to those who feel that they are burdened in life, come back and visit this blog often. You just might be surprised.

Let's define spiritual shall we? Spiritual is an adjective used to describe something that is made up of or having to do with spirit, rather than the world or physical body. Spiritual itself derives from a Latin word spiritus which means breath or soul. That being said this blog is dedicated to those that wish to become more spiritual in life, perhaps attain an inner peace through whatever means is best for them - meditation, yoga, feng shui, astrology, study of the tarot, candle therapy, use of incense, maybe gardening, just to name a few. To all those on this spiritual quest, the best of luck to you and all the happiness you deserve!
